Terms of Use

Last updated: [ADD DATE]

These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Ward Wisdom. I wrote them in plain English so you can read them between classes or on a break. Ward Wisdom is run by [ADD SITE OWNER NAME] (“we,” “us,” “our”), and the site is written under the pen name Hannah Brooks, Founder & Nurse Resource Curator.

Acceptance of terms

By visiting or using wardwisdom.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The site is meant for adults 18 or older. If you are younger, ask a parent or guardian to read these terms with you first.

These terms work together with our other site pages. Please read them too:

  • Privacy Policy, which explains cookies, analytics, ads and our email list
  • Affiliate Disclosure, which explains how we earn money from links
  • Disclaimer, Medical Disclaimer and Financial Disclaimer, which explain the limits of our advice
  • Editorial Policy, which explains how we research and write our guides

Use of content and intellectual property

Everything on Ward Wisdom belongs to [ADD SITE OWNER NAME] or is used with permission. That includes articles, guides, checklists, printables, graphics, logos, layouts and the site name.

You may read the site, save posts, and share links to our pages. You may quote a short excerpt if you credit Ward Wisdom and point back to the original page.

You may not do any of the following without written permission:

  • Copy full articles or large parts of them onto another site, blog, newsletter or app
  • Sell, rent or license our content
  • Use our name, logo or images in a way that suggests we back you or your product
  • Scrape the site or train automated tools on our content in bulk
  • Remove credits, watermarks or copyright notices

Pinterest saves are welcome. Please use the pin image from the post and link back to the page it came from.

Our guides are general education. They are not medical, legal, financial or career advice made for you. Please read the Medical Disclaimer and Financial Disclaimer before you act on anything. Your school, employer, state board and care team come first.

Printables and personal use license

Our printables are the tools I care about most. Things like the Clinical Day Checklist, the Nursing School Interview Practice Kit and the Personal Statement Planner are meant to be used, written on and worn out. You can find them on the Free Resources page and inside posts.

When you download a printable, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license. That means you may:

  • Print as many copies as you need for your own use
  • Fill them in by hand or on a screen for your own studying, shifts, job search or self-care
  • Print a copy for a study group or a friend, as long as it is free and our branding stays on it
  • Share the link to the printable page so others can download their own

You may not:

  • Sell or trade printables, in print or as files, on any shop, marketplace or group
  • Upload the files to another website, shared drive or file-sharing service
  • Add them to a paid course, bundle, planner, class pack or product
  • Edit them and claim them as your own work
  • Remove our name, logo or credits

One more thing, and it matters. Do not write patient names, birth dates, room numbers or any other identifying details on a printable. A brain sheet that leaves the unit in your pocket should never hold private patient information. Follow your facility’s rules on what you may carry and write down.

Printables are study and organization aids. They do not replace your facility’s policies, orders, protocols or your own clinical judgment. We may update or remove a printable at any time. All rights not listed here stay with us.

User conduct

Be kind. Nursing is hard enough without bullying in the comments. When you comment, send us a message, or join our email list, you agree not to:

  • Post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening or misleading
  • Share patient information, or details that could identify a patient, coworker or facility
  • Share private information about other people
  • Post spam, ads or links to products you want to sell
  • Pretend to be another person, or claim a license or credential you do not hold
  • Try to break, overload or get into parts of the site you should not access
  • Use bots or scripts to collect data from the site

If you leave a comment, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to display it on the site. We may edit, hide or delete comments that break these rules or that we judge unhelpful. We do not have to explain each decision.

Comments are not a place for medical emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number right away.

Third-party links

Ward Wisdom links to other websites, shops and tools. Some are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Some pages also show ads from ad networks. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains this in more detail.

We do not own or control those other sites. We cannot promise that their content, prices, stock, sizing or policies are accurate or stay the same. Prices and availability can change after we publish a post. Please check the details before you buy.

If you buy something or share your data on another site, that is between you and them. Read their terms and privacy policy first. A link on our site is not a promise that a product, school, employer or service is right for you.

Our site may also use cookies and similar tools from us and from partners, such as analytics, ad and email services. Our Privacy Policy explains what they do and how to manage them.

Limitation of liability

We work hard to keep our guides clear and well researched. Even so, we cannot promise that everything on the site is complete, current or free of errors. Nursing rules, exam formats, pay and school requirements change, and they differ by place.

You use the site and its printables at your own risk. The content is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

To the fullest extent the law allows, [ADD SITE OWNER NAME] and anyone who works with us will not be liable for any loss or damage that comes from your use of the site. This includes indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as:

  • A decision you make based on our content
  • Lost income, lost job offers or missed school deadlines
  • An exam result or a school or job decision
  • Problems with a product or service you bought through a third-party link
  • Downtime, viruses or technical problems with the site

Some places do not allow certain limits on liability. If that applies to you, only the limits that your local law allows will apply.

Changes to the terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is large, we may add a notice on the site or email our list.

If you keep using the site after an update, you accept the new terms. Check back now and then, especially if you use our printables often.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [ADD STATE/COUNTRY], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about these terms or the site will be handled in the courts located in [ADD STATE/COUNTRY], unless your local law says otherwise.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a rule right away, that does not mean we have given it up.
